Wagga Wagga has recently been ranked the 14th most affordable city in Australia according to the Annual Demographia International Housing Affordability Survey. It is unique competitive advantages such as the city's affordable housing and competitive jobs markets that contribute significantly to encouraging people to relocate from major cities.
According to the survey, the city's median house price is currently $320,000, as little as 35% of the current prices available on the Sydney market. The rental market is equally competitive, with rents in Wagga Wagga delivering a significantly greater return on investment properties to the value on offer in metropolitan market. Growth in the housing market is set to increase, with the city's population forecast to exceed 65,000 in the next 12 months, continuing to grow at over 1% per year.
Conversely, confidence in the commercial sector is at an all-time high, with developments currently underway across the city valued at over $250 million dollars.
